Perhaps we don’t have to remove our TIP car?

We have a friend who has lived in PV for 30 years holding a visa Permanente.  He just told me PR holders who already have a TIP car here that came in under their Temporal and then switched do not have to remove their vehicles or nationalize.  He has had his lawyers contact every agency and supposedly confirmed this.  He states there is no law in effect requiring removal and that perhaps it’s a nasty rumor.  We are about to drive our Honda (Asian made) beloved CRV out in 3 weeks for the last time based on our previous understanding requiring us to nationalize at a cost of $3500 usd nearly the car’s value.  Sure would like to get this nailed down once and for all.

Looking forward to your response and perhaps a location where or wording where the new law can be found?
